WAEC: Students, parents, teachers fear mass failure, request extension

Parents, students, and teachers have expressed their feelings of fear of the mass failure of students.

They gave the reason that the timeframe for the revision for the terminal classes is not enough.

The schools were inquired to make adequate preparations in abidance to the stipulated COVID-19 protocols.

These include fumigation of schools, provision of the clinic, required temperature check, wearing of face mask by staff and students, and the observance of social distancing, in addition to handwashing and use of hand sanitizers.

Moreover, many asserted excitement at the news of schools reopening, saying it was long delayed, others uttered fear that the two weeks given was too short for students who have stayed over five months at home without any formal classroom teaching to prepare for exams.
