The West African Examination Council (WAEC) through the Head of Public Office, Patrick Areghan has reported the insights and statistics of the 2020 WASSCE Result.

As per Areghan, the investigation of the statistics of the exhibition of candidates in the examination shows that out of the s in the examination shows that out of the One Million Five Hundred and Thirty-Eight Thousand Four Hundred and Forty-Five (1,538,445) candidates that sat the examination;

One Million Three Hundred and Thirty-Eight Thousand Three Hundred and Forty-Eight (1,338,348), speaking to 86.99%, acquired credit or more in at least any five (5) subjects (i.e with or without English Language or potentially Science;


One Million Three Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty-Eight (1,003,668) candidates, speaking to 65.24%, got credits or more in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language and Science.


this number, Four Hundred and Ninety-Seven Thousand One Hundred and Thirty-Nine (497,139) i.e 49.53% were male candidates, while 500 and 6,000 500 and 29 (506,529) for example 50.47% were female candidates. The level of candidates in this class in the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2019, that is, the individuals who got credit or more in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, was 64.18%. Accordingly, there is a minimal 1.06% improvement in execution in such a manner.


The results of Two Hundred and Fifteen Thousand One Hundred and Forty-Nine (215,149) candidates, referring to 13.98% of the all outnumber of candidates that sat the examination, are being retained regarding different revealed instances of examination negligence.
