University Of Lagos (UNILAG) Students To Storm The Street Tomorrow, October 13th, 2020 For #EndAsuuStrike Protest
Students of the University of Lagos, in coincidence with other institutions in the state, have promised to embark on a peaceful protest tomorrow, October 13th, 2020 at the university speculations, compelling the school management and the federal government to reopen schools.
The students who stated that they are tired of staying at home without learning for over 7 months due to the unending ASUU strike have decided to make their voices heard.
This was made implied in a circular issued online and obtained by Jablog9ja.
Despite the NUC circular instructing universities to resume, federal schools are yet to make any move as regards resumption, due to the strike action by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU).
Observe that schools, especially Federal government-owned schools in Nigeria have been under lock and key since march. The strike however occurred simultaneously with the lockdown that was imposed as a result of strategies by the government to curb the spread of the Corona Virus pandemic in the country.
