NYSC Batch ‘A’ : Online Registration, Guide & Requirements 2020

This to inform all prospective 2020 Batch ‘A’ Stream II corps members that the NYSC online registration portal has been begun and will end on 11th August 2020.

The NIGERIAN and FOREIGN TRAINED GRADUATES should enroll and upload all the mandatory academic documents, professional credentials (where APPLICABLE ), and travel documents.

While registering online, all FOREIGN TRAINED GRADUATES should choose any center conveniemouthnt for them where their credentials would be physically verified.

After registration, PHYSICAL VERIFICATION of all the credentials uploaded would take place incentersntres SELECTED.

Please, note that only PCMs whose credentials are physically verified would be assigned with Call-Up Numbers and subsequently print Call-Up Letters.

It is therefore mandatory for all NIGERIAN FOREIGN TRAINED graduates who enroll on-line for the 2019 Batch “C” Service Year to be present for physical verification of their credentials.

Important Tips to supervise PCMs during NYSC Online Registration:

  1. Do not thumb print by a representative. (Nobody should thumbprint for you; thumbprint should be done registree).
  2. Make sure the passport photograph uploaded is very precise and clear.
  3. Do not disregard the Username and Password used during your online registration, it’s very vital.
  4. Apply for modification and correction of spelling mistakes and rearrangement of names on your dashboard. It is ongoing even after the Orientation exercise re-check your records before you submit to avoid the wrong details.

NYSC Online Registration Procedure, guides, and Requirements.

  • The Website address is any of the following:
  • Check the Service senate to verify your records.
  • If you are registering for the first time, make sure you click on Registration for Mobilization 2020 Batch ‘A’.
  • If you have registered previously and did not finalize your Registration or Submit, please do not create a new account rather you click on “Login Here” to proceed with your registration, previous Username, and Password.
  • If you were mobilized in the last batches and have registered online before but incapable to move forward to Orientation Camp, Click on the  “Revalidation” link to re-validate your registration.

To guarantee a seamless registration, Prospective Corps Members (PCM) are to note the following for moral compliance:

  1. Forthcoming Corps Members should confirm that they have functional e-mail addresses that they can permit and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register. Such e-mail addresses and phone numbers must be conserved throughout the service year.
  2. Locally trained PCM are required to use correct Matriculation numbers to register.
  3. For locally-trained graduates, they are those whose names appear in the “Senate Academic Board Approved Result lists” submitted by their Institutions will have access to the register on the NYSC portal.
  4. Foreign-trained prospective Corps Members should NOTE that ONLY those that graduated from accredited institutions are authorized for mobilization. Any foreign-trained prospective Corps Member who is in doubt of the accreditation status of his/her institution should reach the Federal Ministry of Education for verification.
  5. Foreign-trained Nigerian graduates are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload the following documents:
    1. West African School Certificate (WASC) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings it’s its equivalent
      General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) (with at least  5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent
      NECO (with at least  5 Credits at 2 sittings it’s its equivalent
      NABTEB (with at least 5 Credits at 2 sittings it’s its equivalent
      High School Diplomit’sr its equivalent for those who attended school in the USA, etc.
    2. Certificates are not authorized to register.
    3. Complete official transcript of the First Degree program.
    4. International Travelling Passport having the following pages;
      1. Personal Data.
      2. Visa to the country of study.
      3. Date of the first departure to the country of study and date of arrival in Nigeria.
      4.  Graduates with dual nationalities are required to upload Personal Data Pages of both international passports and present the passports for physical verification at the orientation camp.
      5. It is the obligation of the forthcoming corps members who studied in non-English speaking countries to get their Certificates and Transcripts translated into the English language before uploading. The translated transcripts and certificates should also be presented for physical verification.
      6. All graduates of Medicine, Veterinary MedicPhysiotherapyraphy, Radiology, Optometry, Medical Laboratory Sc, science, and Pharmacy are expected to have their Certificates of Registration with their professional bodies. Payment receipts are not acceptable.
      7.  Foreign-trained graduates seeking mobilization for national service should NOT bother to visit NYSC Headquarters, Abuja, for physical verification of their documents. There will be an exercise conducted at the orientation camps. They are to print their call-up letters online and report to the orientation camps in their states of deployment. Foreign-trained graduates are required to go to the camps with the original documents they uploaded for verification.
      8. Provisional certificates should note that on-line print-out, scanned and photocopies of credentials are not acceptable.
      9. Foreign-trained graduates who registered for the Exemption Certificate shall provide all their original academic credentials and international passport for physical verification when they come to collect the certificate at the National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.
      10. All foreign-trained graduates who registered and are excluded from service should also present original academic credentials and international passport at the NYSC NDHQ, Abuja, for physical verification before Exclusion Letters are printed on-line.
      11. All foreign-trained prospective Corps Members who registered but were not called up for service in the last batch should log on to the NYSC portal to revalidate their registration. This category of persons need not pay N3,000.00 (three thounairasnaira) again.
      12. Anybody who presents any fake document will be demobilized and decamped.
      13. Prospective corps members should ensure that Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:


  1. Confirm, if your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and jaw) is fully revealed without bending.
  2. Confirm, if the picture fills the frame and centralized.
  3. Confirm, if the Photo background is white or off-white without shadow.
  4. On no account should prospective corps members register by PROXY. They should also remember the fingers used for their thumb printing capturing as these will be used for verification at the orientation camps. Those who cannot be verified with their biometric at the orientation camp will not be registered.
  5. Only prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent to them through SMS and wish to PRINT their call-up letters on-line are expected to pay the sum of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) (see NYSC Portal on how to make a payment).
  6. PCM who do not want to pay the N3,000.00 have the option of going to their schools to collect their call-up numbers and call-up letters.
  7. All prospective corps members who paid for the online registration before but were not mobilized need not pay again.
  8. Married female prospective corps members (whether locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their marriage Certificates, evidence of Change of name, and their husbands’ place of domicile during registration.
  9. The orientation camp is highly not ideal for pregnant and nursing mothers. Prospective corps members in this category are therefore to note that they will not be accommodated.
  10. Prospective Corps Members with serious health challenges should indicate their TRUE HEALTH STATUS during registration to enable concessional deployment for them.
  11. Prospective corps members who graduated from institutions located in the following geo-political zones with challenges related to mobilization should contact the under-listed telephone numbers:

  12. All Part-time graduates are expected to register online and wait for the collection of their Letter of Exclusion at their various Institutions. For those willing to print the Letter of Exclusion online, this can be done on payment of Three Thousand Naira (N3, 000.00) only.
